In three years (2017/2018/2019), APPN 's Temprary Loss Of Licence claims have increased from €6.2 million to €8.3 million, an increase of 34%. Over the same period, the number of active insured persons has increased from 10,200 to 13,000, an increase of 26%.

We note that this development is largely due to a very large increase (57%) in the number of Pilots arrested over a period of between six and twelve months.

The APPN presents: "Wings of Humanity".

In 1968, some Pilots and Air France mechanics decided on their own to act and break a blockade in Biafra to save lives, even if it meant going into hiding and putting a plane on what looked more like a road than a runway. a landing strip. Thus was launched, on these foundations, in 1980, the association "Aviation Sans Frontières" with the noble ambition of making available the skills of the aeronautical world to the logisticians or doctors dispatched urgently. The task is immense for these new faces of humanitarian aid, fuelled by their commitment, their values and the imperative need to help their fellow man.

The European regulation

The objective of the new directives applicable to APPN is to provide more transparency and protection for policyholders on the products offered, in particular by setting up a system of governance and monitoring of products and their distribution. Any failure or breach of the rules can have serious legal and financial consequences, both for insurers and for APPN.

The particularities of the association APPN

Our association offers very specific products - permanent and temporary Loss Of Licence insurance, as well as Life insurance - for an extremely targeted population. As a result, the production of the information document will not pose any particular difficulties, nor any obligation to provide ongoing information.

The distribution of our insurance

The rules applicable to the design and distribution of products lead APPN to two types of distribution depending on whether the contracts are individual or compulsory group contracts.

The new regulatory directives

These new directives require a certain level of professional competence, especially for new employees of APPN , who must undergo several training courses. In addition, each employee must receive annual professional annual vocational trainingwhich cannot be less than 15 hours per year.

The compulsory company contracts

APPN is constantly evolving, both in terms of individual membership contracts and in terms of compulsory membership contracts (insurance cover by airlines):

- Air France, under an Air France / Macif contract managed by the APPN

- Corsair, since January 1, 2004

- Air Austral, since 1 August 2010 for Definitive Loss Of Licence and Temprary Loss Of Licence and implemented in case of October 2017

We have been approached by other companies but we are only at the very beginning of a possible partnership.

Mutavie

The APPN is a historical operator of Mutavie, the life insurance subsidiary of the MACIF group, created in the early 1980s by a former Pilot , then president of MACIF, Jean Dupont. A member of the bureau of the APPN participates in the supervisory board of this organisation which manages 23 billion euros. Today, nearly a thousand members APPN have invested in the company's products. Mutavie offers its customers accounts invested in euros with a guaranteed capital and a calculated annual return (1.8% in 2017) but also unit-linked options on diversified funds ranging from cautious to dynamic management funds. The structure of this life insurance company favours prudence in its management. Since this year, it has been offering asset management that takes into account the personal situation of each member, in order to offer them an adapted policy for managing their capital.
Do not hesitate to contact APPN for any further information on Mutavie.
