The 2024 results

Our association's fiscal year 2024 was very good.

The 2024 financial year ended :

- for the Life insurance by 4 death.

- for the Definitive Loss Of Licence insurance by 46 Pilots permanently unfit to fly, stable compared with 2023.

- for the Temporary Loss Of Licence with claims also stable compared with 2023.

These results are all the more favorable given the increase in the number of members over the period. The overall results of the various contracts have therefore improved.

Only two "contracts" are loss-making: Definitive Loss Of Licence between ages 45 and 60, and Temprary Loss Of Licence beyond age 60.

But the risks pooling between age groups makes for a positive result, and is at the heart of the APPN spirit.

In 2024, the overall ratio (claims/contributions) is 0.7, which is extremely good and explains the high rebate in 2024.

The 2024 member rebate paid in 2025

In March 2025, the Board of Directors decided on the level of rebates to be paid in October 2025 to APPN members in respect of the 2024 financial year.

In view of the good results in 2024, it was decided to return 2.5 annual subscriptions to members, corresponding to a discount of over 20%.

The new 2025 policies

The new 2025 policies will be published on the APPN website member area. A specific information system will enable each member to confirm that they are aware of the new policies.

The main changes are as follows:

- for the Life insurance: increase in the maximum age for membership from 45 to 50 and a 10% reduction in premiums,

- for the Definitive Loss Of Licence insurance: increase in the maximum amount of cover on subscription from 340,000 to 380,000 euros.

The number of members

Membership continues to grow strongly, as in previous years.

In 2024, membership increased by 1,000 Pilots. A total of 22,000 Pilots are members ofAPPN (individual and compulsory contracts).

The low membership fee

To benefit from a reduced "Association" membership fee (€3 or €7), members must respectively belong to a union that created the APPN or be a member of IFALPA.

These certificates must be sent annually to APPN.

The sales actions

International expansion continues.

An agreement has been reached with ACA, the Austrian IFALPA union.

The number of visits to the APPN website continues to rise, demonstrating Pilots ' interest in our offers.

The APPN solidarity fund

As part of its social action, the APPN continues to help member Pilots who find themselves in great difficulty.
