The 2025 Results

Just as in 2024, our association had a successful fiscal year in 2025.

The 2025 fiscal year ends with:

– For the “ Definitive Loss Of Licence ” insurance plan, 36 Pilots were deemed permanently unfit to fly, which represents a significant decrease compared to 2024, especially given that the number of policyholders has increased.

– For the "Temprary Loss Of Licence" insurance plan, claims are also expected to decline by approximately 11% compared to 2024.

– On the other hand, for the “ Life ” insurance plan, there were 8 death, an increase compared to 2024.

The results are generally positive, especially since the number of members increased once again during the period.

The contracts are operating at a loss for the older age groups. However, the pooling of risks across age groups results in a positive outcome and is the foundation of the mutualist ethos of the APPN.

As for 2026, the outlook appears uncertain due to the geopolitical situation.

The 2025 member rebate paid in 2026

In March 2026, the board of directors decided on the amount of the rebate to be paid in October 2026 to members of the APPN for the 2025 fiscal year.

Given the strong results in 2025, it was decided to refund members 2.5 times their annual premium, which amounts to a discount of more than 20 percent.

The number of members

Membership continued to grow strongly, as in previous fiscal years.

In 2025, the number of members increased by approximately 1,000 Pilots. A total of 23,000 Pilots are members of the APPN (individual and mandatory plans).

The Reduced-Cost Association Membership Fee

As a reminder, the association fees are used to cover the administrative expenses of the APPN.

To qualify for the reduced “Association” membership fee (€3 or €7), members must belong to an association or union that was involved in the founding of the APPN or is a member of IFALPA.

Thus, the APPN recognizes the role of the associations and unions at Pilots , which advocate on behalf of the profession and the safety of flight crew members before national aviation authorities.

Proof of membership in these organizations must be submitted annually to APPN.

The sales actions

International expansion continues.

Agreements have been established with CRO-ALPA, ALPA-MALTA, and NF, the IFALPA unions in Croatia, Malta, and Norway.

Traffic to the APPN website continues to rise, reflecting the consistent interest of Pilots in our expired license offerings.

The APPN solidarity fund

As part of its social action, the APPN continues to help member Pilots who find themselves in great difficulty.
